I found this hostal to be very strangely laid out. The front common area was nice but everything else was so cramped. To get to the one private room where we stayed you had to walk through a 4 person girl dorm and as someone else commented on, the dorms are not at all separated. So there is a lack... more

If you want a western style room but can't afford the Nara Hotel, yet do not want to cramp yourselves into the miniscule rooms of a Comfort or a Super Hotel, then this is one of the few choices for you in Nara.
