Convenient, and just a short taxi ride or 20 min walk from Dogo to see one of the 88 temples on the pilgrimage route. for tourists, you can "visit" all 88 temples by rubbing your hands over the symbols of all 88 temples marked at the shrine. watching true pilgrims as they proceed through the grounds is a treat. nice... more
