The hotel is probably very expensive, but you can get very good last minute deals (our rate was 9000 yen per night through ikyu.com). We have really enjoyed our stay in Sendai (just two days, a starting point for a day trip to Matsushima where the accommodation was more expensive). great location, only 3 mins walk from the jr sendai station. price is good too - at 7200 yen for double stay including light breakfast - what else do we need!? more

My wife lived in Sendai as a young adult, and we were there visiting family. We requested we all go out to a gyutan restaurant called Rikyu.
