Again it's a convenient outlet if you're staying at the Hyatt. Buffet and a la carte are decent enough. Always nice being by the sea :) more

This is the second time we stayed here. Stayed here in Early Aug, Booked a suite for 2 days. Was upgraded because the hotel was full. Exec suite was good except that it can get a bit dark at night when you wanna do some reading, must improve on lighting in lounge area. Left the next day at 4pm because... more
Just back from another great Club Med holiday, this time at Cherating.Fabulous in every way - the weather, the food and very friendly GOs. Had a great time sailing catamarans every day and some expert tuition in Archery so I have made a bit of progress. The circus team put on two very professional shows during the week which had us all... more
My Family and I have just returned from a stay at the Holliday Villa in Cherating, although I found the price range for the rooms to be a little pricey (RM230 per night for standard room) for the standard (3 Star is my opinion), the Hotel has alot to offer in ambiance, lush greenery, beautiful beach and quiet atmosphere. The... more
Upon arriving, we were given adjoining rooms on the 3rd level. The porter/concierge was quite helpful in lugging 4 person's luggage up and down its many stairs. Upon reaching our rooms, we asked to be moved to a ground level as my mother dreaded the hike up and down. They obliged but we soon found that there was no 'ground'... more
Clean with breezy wind from TC beach. This is a hawker. Nasi lemak bungkus with cockles and nasi dagang bungkus are good. Decent teh tarik and nescafe tarik. more
A little corner coffee shop and is the locals favourite pick for satay esp during Aidilfitri. I love their beef satay. Tender, not chewy. more
Used to go here quite often in the early-mid 80s. Very good tasty tom yam. Good seafood phad thai wrapped in omelette. more
The location was great, right on the beach (the beach and pool were about 100m from each other.) The beach was vast and clean and virtually deserted. The perfect beach resort much better than europes crowded beaches. The rooms were spacious and clean expect for a small ant infestation. The main hotel restaurant was resonably priced and breakfast was of... more
We arrived late Saturday afternoon. The staff seemed under considerable pressure and unwelcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although not completely renovated. The weekend was very busy and noisy. On the way from the airport our driver asked why we had come to Kuantan, as very few Australians do. This was not a good omen. A shuttle bus service... more
Assuming food and local tea and coffee at this outlet are as good as the one in Kemaman (which is too small for Trip Advisor map, it's not there); this is one of the best kopitiams in the East Coast. They also have sticky-rice tapai in banana leaf which I ordered with magnolia vanilla ice cream... Overall? Saying it as... more
yummy yummy.. also sherwood's - best steak! more
We arrived in the evening and check in was a breeze. Kids love the hotel especially the pool and the beach just right next to it. The rooms are pleasantly decorated but the tiled floor was not mopped. We have to constantly wear our own beach slippers in the rooms. The slippers provided are way too big for asian's feet.... more
We stayed at this beautiful forest retreat for 4 days and by the time we left we were fairly worn out from all the activities and a few kilos heavier from the fantastic food. This was the first time we had stayed at a CM and weren't sure what to expect but we can only give a positive recommendation. From... more
Stayed with my parents and kids for 4 nights. Only dined in Kampung Restaurant - buffet breakfast is good and buffet dinner is alright considering its only RM15/- more than breakfast. Ala-cart food is good too. Enjoyed The Deli next to the restaurant. It serves bread, biscuit, cakes, sandwich and processed meat. Beach is nice and its shared with the... more
We had a v good 8 night experience at Club Med with a number of other families from Perth Overall although it seems expensive at first it is grt value for money. Good food which you tend to overindulge on - , good service, basic but acceptable rooms which are clean and serviced daily and ( some cable TV inc... more
Business brought me to Kuantan for about three weeks, and thankfully Swiss Gardens made it a pleasant trip, and gave me a bit of a home away from home. The front desk staff makes an effort to remember your name, as well as the basic details of your trip. It's nice to return each day to a smile and a... more
This was my third time to Club Med Cherating and definitely my last. We chose to come back after two years solely for the award winning puff pastries and dining experience offered by the Rembulan restaurant. If not for these scrumptious attractions, Cherating has little to offer among the other Club Meds in Asia. The standard of food has nosedived... more
Needs a paint job but big rooms and bathroom. Staff were friendly, not a great location, near sewage/treatment works and no restaurants. more
