As the name indicates, this is positively a mega palace, considering we are in a remote part of Russia. One of the few hotels in Siberia where you don't get immediately depressed. I understand that the hotel was recently renamed Pacific Plaza. It is located in the centre of town with views out onto the mountains. My seventh floor room was large with thick blue carpeting and air con. There was South African satellite tv, and separate bath and shower.
