Beautiful hotel - the "living room" aka lobby was very welcoming and inviting with its dark blue walls and fireplace. Wonderful location - very close to Chart House and waterfront parks (within 2 or 3 blocks). We loved the robes - leopard and zebra - that were available for you to wear while you were in their rooms. Had a great room for two night. It was very big and welcome after our flight from the UK. Don't get confused with the other Holiday Inn in Alexandria, like our cab driver did...He dropped up off at the other one and left when we went to check in we realised we were at the wrong one...well the front desk... more

I've lived in Alexandria for the past five years and have been to most of the Italian restaurants in the city. For my money, Villa d'Este is the best.
