I haev traveled through out Brazil, but this place sticks out. The owners are great-hospitable, but not corny. Ilha Grande is astoundingly beautiful and Asalem captures it perfectly. MUST STAY HERE at least once in your life. more

We took the ferry from Angra dos reis, cost 6 reals per person. Arrived at the dock where Levy came to collect us on the taxi boat, and took us to Asalem. We were greeted by friendly staff, and shown our room, the view was abosolutley breath-taking, and definately the best view on the whole island. The room was clean... more
