Lijiang is the best place for retreat and be away for a week or two. Stay away from highrise buildings and fastrack traffics. No air pollutions, so scenic and calm. One can imagine immediately after lunch just slide down to your lazy chair waiting for the cool breeze brushing off your face. Ah ha! I mean snooozzzz...... how you like... more

The Tea Boutique Hotel

We stayed at the Waterfront property. The place is cute and the people were extremely nice and helpful. I'll stay there again if I return to Lijiang again. Make sure you have the hotel business card before stepping out the hotel. more

I stayed here for 3 nights in June and received a good discounted rate by booking through the Banyan Tree reservation office in Singapore directly. Although I had considered staying in Lijiang old town after reviewing the Tripadvisor reviews/rankings (e.g. Zen Garden etc), I am glad that I went with my instincts and stayed at the Banyan Tree.
