Silverpark Holiday Resort

As other reviewers have said this place is run down, we appeared to be the only overnighters though there were people around who owned apartments in the 6 floor blocks. Having said that our room was clean, we stayed 4 nights and the room was fully cleaned and bed changed after the 2nd night; sitting on the balcony with the... more

Having stayed at the Old Smokehouse in Cameron Highland, which was average to poor, our expectations we modest, but the Old Smokehouse in Frasers Hill is definitely the best of the two. Placed at a nice location overlooking the moutain area. The rooms are spaceous, old, but the basics are working fine and they are full of character. The food... more

Sad that I have to re- write this review after giving them a thumbs up review in Dec 2008. My recent trip back to the hotel was far too unpleasant. The rooms (2 adjoining rooms) had damp carpets on arrival , ants were crawling everywhere especially the toilets. The curtain in the room was not closing very well when our... more

Just returned from a trip to Frasers Hill. On the whole, the holiday was superb. The only 'letdown' was our visit for an English Tea at ' The Smokehouse'. Being known for its "English" theme, I was overwhelmed to experience English teatime. The menu was what should be and would likely be ordered by most customers. Devonshire Tea + 2 scones... more

Fraser hill is a lovely place to visit, coozy and fresh air, beautiful forest and many pretty bangalows and houses which very much british. As compare to other highlands such as Cameron and Genting, Fraser Hills is obviously very less commercialized, in other words, it also mean that time up there will be quite bored if you are not really... more

It is certainly eccentric. And is probably overpriced. But still charming and I felt very comfortable and at home here. The staff were lovely. We were the only guests and had the entire place to ourselves. The gardens are charming. The cooking was surprisingly good. Even the cream tea was authentic. I felt like I was staying at my grandmothers.... more

This place is invaded by mold. Great view from the premises but mold is everywhere. And please bring your own towel as you will have to pay to use one. more

The Drive Up - Via Karak/Bentong or Kuala Kubu Bharu? I found the route via Karak/Bentong is longer but a little less winding. Will help if your passengers suffer from motion sickness. However, the last leg of Kuala Kubu Bahru route feature beautiful scenery of the lake/dam. In addition, this route passes several small town, which may slow you down... more

We went to Bukit Fraser for a week end with 2 young children. Overall experience was nice, cooler than in KL ( around 25 degrees ), horseriding, little boat trip on the lake, going for a walk without sweating, nice birds around and VERY QUIET. We stayed at the Pines Resort, cheap, large rooms but a bit grotty and run... more
