My husband and I just returned from our trip to Alaska which included Kodiak Island. When looking for a place to stay, I came across A Smiling Bear B&B on the Kodiak Island website. We were in Kodiak for two days of bear viewing. Everyone in town recommended the Old Powerhouse. We didn't know it was a Japanese-influenced restaurant. The food was very good.
