Los Chocos

Our family went to Buenos Aires, Mendoza, and Santiago over the holidays. All we did was eat, eat, eat. There was so much good food, but nothing compared to our night at the home of Martin and Los Chocos! It was not just a meal, it was an authentic dining experience. They said it was a 5 course meal but... more

Sheraton Mendoza Hotel

The Sheraton in Mendoza was a beautiful hotel with All the amenities one would want. We were greeted by a helpful and efficient front desk that took time to make suggestions and provide answers to many of our questions. The spacious rooms offered outstanding views of the Andes Mountains. The hotel offered a large pool and cabana for relaxation after... more

I am only writing this response because I too like many of the reviewers have eaten in great places all over the world, but not because I want to be seen or spend excess money ( I eat as much street food as 5 star food), but because I am in the industry.....simply put, this is a fantastic place. Maybe... more

Valle de Uco Lodge

I can really recommend this to couples and friends. A very friendly and serviceminded athmosphere, we were really in good hands. more

Executive Hotel Park Suites

The room is huge and very comfortable. The only point i could complain is the shower: not enough water, either too hot or too cold. The rest is great. My floor was named after the Trapiche winery so my room had 2 beautiful pictures of this winery and well as 2 bottles of wine of Trapiche as well. the staff... more

We ate there for lunch and it was a very tasty experience. The menu included an entrée (empanadas of 3 differents flavours), a main dish (there was 3 choices - I chose a gnocchi with legumes and their reduction with balsamic oil that was fantastic!) and a dessert (sorbet or a fondant with a sorbet- delicious!!!) and a glass of... more

Hostel Ruca-Potu

5 Jan 2010

I´d a creepy feeling from the owner (Ariel) from the start and the walls and bed covers were covered in stains! We were booked for 3 nights but had to stay for 1 more night. On day 2 we asked him if he had availability for an extra night-he said that he had but that we would need to vacate... more

Anna Bistro

ordered cocktails and water never arrived; starters and mains were served at the same time (4 plates on a table for two!), irresponsibly understaffed, waiting time 60 mins approx. Food decent, but most certainly not worth any special effort to visit this place. more

My girlfriend and I are accustomed to eating flavorful/spicy food. We did not realize when we went to Argentina that very few restaurants cook with more than just a dash of salt (if at all). Los Chocos is out to change that. They cook completely from the heart, and it is amazing. Our meal was 100% organic, local, and more... more

I went for dinner with 4 other friends from Boston, MA a few days ago. We made a reservation after a particulary strong recommendation by the Hostel´s owner. What can I say? To our surprise, it was a beautiful little place with just one table for eight where we had one of the most amazing meals of our stay here... more

Bohemia Hotel Boutique

4 Jan 2010

We stayed here in Nov 2009. The location is good, you are walking distance (10 min) from downtown Mendoza. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast fine. The hotel had a sign up to say repairs were being don and offering an apology but there not seem to be much happening on the work front. We had a split... more

La Escondida Bed & Breakfast

3 Jan 2010

This place was recommended by a local B&B which happened to be full. So I trusted them, and the website looked great. But, what a disappointment. This was certainly NOT what one would consider to be a B&B. It was instead a 1-star hotel. The pool, which obviously was for effect, certainly not for swimming, was stagnant, and full of... more

Villaggio Hotel Boutique

We spent five nights at the Villaggio, including Christmas. The staff were very helpful, including helping us get a sought-after dinner reservation at Francis Mallman 1884 in Godoy-Cruz. Very clean, minimalist decor, excellent breakfast included -- all at a very reasonable price. We would recommend the Villaggio highly. more

Bohemia Hotel Boutique

Bohemia is a boutique hotel which means that it is small and quiet. If you want a swinging place with lots of "action," go elsewhere. If you want peacefulness, aesthetic pleasure, and a good location in a solidly middle-class neighborhood within a short walk to a lovely park as well as the "strip" of bars/parrillas/restaurants, then Bohemia is for you.... more

We loved the food we had just about everywhere in Argentina but this was a unique experience among the other places we tried. Most places we went featured the typical food of Argentina (mostly lots of excellent beef), Los Chocos differed in that the chef prepared a variety of foods and dishes that were native to Mendoza specifically. As each... more

This is a gem. We would recommend it to anyone who's not a Hyatt/Sheraton... person. The restaurant chef is phenomenal. The staff are super friendly. They go out of their way to help. Can't say enough about the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. The lobby area is really extensive, comfortable. The guests used the couches and chairs to visit.... more

Park Hyatt Mendoza

3 Jan 2010

Horrible experience, more like a two star hotel, with cheap slot machine casino, no hotel bar, no cnn, dirty room and bathroom, dirtty pool with old ripping pool mattrasses! Made our stay in Mendoza much less romatic, all with all not worth it! more

Sheraton Mendoza Hotel

This is a beautiful new hotel (opened in Fall of '08, we were told). We felt the room and the hotel's pool area were great, as was the restaurant on the 17th floor with panaramic views of the city. The room is pretty large and the bathroom is spacious compared to most. The service at the front desk was great... more

Can not ask for anything more. The customer service is top notch, catering to everything from arranging day trips, wine tastings, dinners, etc. The lodge itself is amazing. Guests have their own private villa with its own plunge pool and fireplace atop the villa. more

Anna Bistro

We are frequent visitors to Mendoza so we tried Anna Bistro for the first time and we were disappointed. The service was mediocre even by South American standards. The staff was inattentive and did not even attempt to accomodate our poor Spanish. This is despite the fact that we pointed to the entres that we wanted. One dish came out... more
