We need to travel to Phoenix frequently for family purposes, and want a nice place to stay, but do not care about amenities other than a nice room, a good restaurant and bar on premises with beautiful grounds. We spent one evening at the hotel in a beautiful 2 bedroom cottage and had our own private outdoor hot tub! The bell staff was so curtious and helpful, I immediately knew we were going to have a relaxing , pampering experience. According to its website, the Arizona Biltmore opened in 1929 and is looks like it hasn't aged a day. The hotel is truly special in that it avoided two very easy and common mistakes: (1) it didn't try to update itself with the times only to have a mishmash of styles and (2) it didn't let itself go either.
