Hotel Country Villa is in a great location looking out over the Himalayas - but less than an hour's drive from Kathmandu (or in our case, less than a day's hike). The Farmhouse is a great place to escape from Kathmandu for a weekend! The rooms are comfortable and clean, the restaurant/lounge is very cozy , the grounds are beautifully landscaped and the view is stunning. When we pulled up to the hotel we were excited. A mountain top hotel with a great view of the Himalayan mountains. Our excitement quickly disappeared when we saw our room, which was booked through a tour package company (The Great Adventure Treks and Expedition (P.) Ltd.) in Kathmandu.
