After staying in Thamel for two nights we were looking for something more authentic. Having already visited Bakhtapur we went to Patan's Durbar Square (only about 15 min by Taxi from Kathmandu centre) which is in itself worth visiting: amazing architecture of old buildings giving the visitor a feeling how Nepal looked like hundreds of years ago. This hotel is for you if you want a clean, comfy place to crash in Kathmandu - either to rest up for your trek into Nepal or Tibet OR to recover from your trek into Nepal or Tibet. I hate to say this but it was nice to watch BBC TV and catch up on what happened during the month... more
