School converted into hotel in the summer in Egilsstadir in the North-east of Iceland. It seems to be quite old and really looks like a boarding school as do the rooms. Rooms are OK but nothing more. We arrived to Egilsstardir and amazingly (mid-September) all the hotel accomodations in the area and nearby towns were full. We normally do not choose a guesthouse but there was a place that had several new individual wooden cabins about two miles out of town.
