Best Western Knights Hill Hotel

2 Nov 2008

just got back from a 2 night stay just me and my fiance, the staff were very pleasent and helpful asked us what time we would like dinner and made the booking for us. we had a garden view room it was bigger than what we expected and was spotless. we had dinner the first night at the pub which... more

The Ostrich

20 Oct 2008

We recently spent a weekend at The Ostrich, using the pub and our bedrooms as a base to travel around some of Nofolk and we had an idyllic time. The rooms are large, reasonably priced and housed in a separate accommodation block to the main pub (so not too much noise pollution at busier times such as the weekends) and... more

I last stayed at this hotel in the early 1980s and it had a superb reputation and standards were there to be admired. How sad to see how this once great hotel has now dwindled into something resembling Joe Maplin's Holiday Camp (for those of you old enough to remember Hi-De-Hi.) The staff were friendly and tried their best. We... more

Tall Trees

This is the second time we have stopped here, 2 adults and our 9yr old daughter. Very clean, rooms are of a high standard, and very well appointed, breakfasts are very nice. Premises are close to Sandringham. Tony and Penny are very obliging. Would highly recommend this B&B to everyone. more

Booked in as a walkup late evening (due to some navigational issues, I needed an en route stopover). OK for a one or two night stay, decor a bit tatty, bath ok, very squeaky floors. Old part has bags of wonky character and an interesting lounge, charmless concrete extension (car park end) initially put me off. Didn't eat, had a... more

We booked here for one night and to be honest we were not expecting much..how wrong we were!! Our room on the second floor of the main complex was very large, airy and spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were pleased to note the little 'extras' such as a small cd player, mints, hot chocolate etc etc.... more

We chose this hotel to attend a family wedding. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 4.30pm, neither was the 2nd or 3rd room. The Queen size rooms are very small and aren't really suitable for couples. The reception staff were very helpful, can't say the same for the restaurant staff at breakfast. There were a group of... more

Ramada Beveridge Way Kings Lynn

22 Sep 2008

The Ramada Kings Lynn is fairly easy to get to if you're driving, plenty of parking, pleasant and clean enough. The big downside is that my room had BEDBUGS hidden throughout the duvet and pillows. I inspected the mattress and it was spotless. I was covered in the typical "three-bites-in-a-row" symptoms of bedbugs in the morning all over my body.... more

My wife myself and two friends have just returned from a five night cycle tour of North Norfolk : Kings Lynn to Cromer starting from The Old Rectory. Out of the five B&Bs we stayed at this was definitely the best, the quality of the decor and furnishings is superb and spotlessly clean. Although we were in the basement we... more

This is tricky - it's a lovely place, great, no fantastic service as it's meant to be but I've been to a large number of places where I've paid a lot less and stayed in a much better room. The reason I'm being negative is that prior to going when you look at the website it states "luxury accommodation" and... more

The Bell Guest House

Had a great stay in The Bell Inn, Grimston, the new owners Bob and Sandra where really friendly the food and service was great, home cooked food and a cold beer in the bar what more can a tired walker need. Would recommend a stopover. more

my boyfriend and i chose this hotel as we have eaten in the bar before, which is lovely.. very atmospheric and nice food, with beautiful surrounding gardens and countryside. the hotel is a re-furbished stable block, with individual rooms coming off the car park, kind of like walking into a chalet! again, looking very quaint from the outside... however, they... more

The bedroom my wife and I had was OK! but does need a revamp, especially the shower because the shower head cannot be moved. It is permanently angled towards the wall. My wife and I went for breakfast, 17th August '08. The waitress just stood there and did not say a word. I asked her if they do hot breakfast... more

Having been impressed by their new website (although this does not seem to specify how many rooms they have) and their very reasonable prices, we booked a night away. We were duly impressed with the house itself, and very happy with our room, which had been recently refurbished entirely. Very comfortable, and of a much higher standard than many B... more

From the moment I booked at the hotel I was looking foward to staying here. The staff who took my booking were helpful, nothing was a problem for them. So I had set my standards high for the hotel....and they were definitely met if not exceeded! To start with as you pulled up to the hotel, you are met at... more

Stayed there one night, expecting the worst from the dire internet reviews. Yes, it's a bit run down (according to the duty manager it's due for major refurbishment this autumn), but the room was fine, clean, warm & with good facilities. Very good breakfast. Just make sure you ask for a room well away from the lifts - they have... more

We were looking for a nice hotel to stay in after camping for a week in Norfolk. The location of this hotel is excellent, right in the town centre on the river, and very close to all pubs and shops. You couldn't fault the service, upon arrival we were shown to the car park and given a choice of 3... more

A very comfortable b&b with spacious, private accommodation. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are tasty, and the friendly hosts offer a great deal of useful advice and information. Sandringham visitor centre is a gentle 40 minute walk away, through woodland and across heathland. There are several good pubs nearby offering evening meals. We particularly enjoyed the... more

We were really looking forward to staying here, and our first impression approaching the hotel was promising; a handsome, well-proportioned house set in its own well-tended grounds. First problem revealed itself when we got out of the car - a low but constant background noise of traffic. Our hearts sank a notch when we saw the room - spacious, yes,... more
