Stay only in Paro not Thimpu, its more quaint and has much more charachter. Uma Paro is fantastic, stunnning view from the corner suite of the hills around. I and my wife visited Tiger's Nest on June 9, 2008. It was on the final lap of a ten day trip to Bhutan. We used ponies to climb. From the minute you arrive you are treated to first class service. Settings are a little stark, but elegant. What a way to travel! We loved our staff & our guides & food.
