California Wildfires
Almost all residents and workers have been evacuated from the popular scenic region of Big Sur. A 30-mile stretch of coastal Highway 1 has been closed. The blaze has already burned more than 64,000 acres of forest. Another major fire in the Ventana Wilderness and the Los Padres National Forest has also forced evacuations.

This hotel is very nice and decent prices too. This is one of the nicer Days Inns I have stayed at. I have stayed at two hotels in Chowchilla, the Chowchilla Inn and Days Inn and the Days Inn is far better. They have a nice little breakfast in the mornings too with cereal and pastries and a Starbucks next... more
