We were a group of 7 girls staying for bachelorette party. Made reservations over a month in advance for 2 rooms and several spa appointments. Confirmed at least twice via email and phone to ensure everything was setup before our arrival....but.... I do have to say the location is beautiful and the spa staff and cleaning crew were very friendly... more

Almost all residents and workers have been evacuated from the popular scenic region of Big Sur. A 30-mile stretch of coastal Highway 1 has been closed. The blaze has already burned more than 64,000 acres of forest. Another major fire in the Ventana Wilderness and the Los Padres National Forest has also forced evacuations.

We only payed about $70 for our room so it was well worth the money since we were travelling through for a night on short notice. The room was very clean, bathrooms well stocked with towels and no visible mildew or mold. The mini fridge was not loud and we also never heard any of our neighbors. We didnt notice... more
San Luis Obispo Children's Museum

At this time (6/28/2008) the museum is still under construction. There were 5 stations installed (diner, fire truck, Dr. office, Dress-up stage, pendulum swing) and all were for younger kids. I had 5 kids (ages 5, 6, 8, 9, 11) with me and it was really only good for the 5 and 6 year old. Not worth the full entrance... more
