This hotel is located on the west side of the La Veta pass. There isn't much in Ft. Garland but if you need a place to stay between Alamosa and Walsenburg this is it. The owner operator is very nice and takes pride in her property. (in fact it is a liitle like staying at your mothers house...) All rooms... more

Linda & Rich are the owners, and they care. Having a fridge & microwave in the room was nice, very clean bedding, towels & bathroom. We visited the area for the Sand Dunes and the historical museums, etc. Hotels in Alamosa wanted twice the rate and not all of them take pets. Our well-behaved dog, as well as the other... more

If you are traveling in the Ft. Garland area, you must stop and check out this tiny town! First, The Silver Sage Steakhouse, it is a family owned business and has incredible service, awesome prices and the food is beyond excellent!!! They are opened for breakfast thru dinner too!!!
