The food is pretty good and abundant and the prices are very good but the rude servers/bartenders and the filth makes me not want to go back. The place has potential but it would take work to fix the rude workers attitudes and dirty conditions....if the outside bar area where everyone goes is that dirty, how dirty is the kitchen?... more

We have always ejoyed the Village Oyster Bar, making it one of our stops when we are in Punta Gorda 4-5 times a year. However, we just returned from one of the worst dining experiences we have had. We have enjoyed many evening meals at the Ice house. I always enjoy a pint or two of interesting ales (I would rather drink water than most big-brand domestic beers). The pub food is very good if you like pub food. We recommend the fish and chips (large portion of fish) and the cottage pie with the delicious Guiness gravy!... more
