Broad Arrow Tavern

Menu had a few items from each category, seafood, steak, pasta, salad, sandwiches and pizza. The prices are a little on the high side but the portions are good sized also. We had chicken pot pie, which was excellent. The crust was a real bread, not a flaky type crust. Deep ceramic bowl. Large chunks of chicken. For my taste,... more

Been on the Kayaking outdoor adventure twice. Best $15 we have spent. Worth every penny. LL Bean takes care of everything and you get one great hour of kayaking on the water. A blast! more

Excellent Bed & Breakfast. Walking distance to LL Bean and other attractions, yet on a nice quiet street. Tori & Robin are excellent host and hostess. Breakfast was top notch. Nice room. We stayed in the Taupe room. Little on the small side (plenty big enough for two). Had a kitchenette, which is great, and uncommon feature. Also, had a... more

You don't need to bother to look any further, this is the best B&B in Freeport, the breakfast is to die for! Everything is home made by Robin and Tori, blue berry pancakes, sour cream raspberry muffins, woopie pies [yep, homemade!] everything they made for us was the best! Tori's homemade granola was truly the best we have ever been... more

My wife and I just returned from a 3 week long vacation. We stayed at 8 different inns and hotels along the way. This was one of our favorites. We were greeted by name and given the tour. It was nice to have acess to the a fridge in the kitchen that provided complimentary drinks. Our room was clean but... more

We just came back from the vaction in Freeport, ME. We decided to stay at B&B instead of regular hotel. The Brewster House was walking distance from Outlet shopping area, which was great fact for us since we went to LL Bean at 10:00 at night. Scott and Ruth were great people, and made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was excelletn!... more

We had to stay at this hotel due to a call center agent not listening and booking us 45 minutes away from Freeport. The front desk agent contacted the other Super 8 to try to get our deposit reversed, but the Front Office Manager at the other Super 8 was rude and told me "It wasn't his problem". The Front... more

Buck's Naked BBQ

I've been a fan of Buck's for 2 years or so and have to say that I was nervous about their move to a much bigger location in Freeport. No worries! The place is fantasitc, interesting, very unique and I have to say that I think the food is better now then ever before. They did expand their menu with... more

Friendly innkeepers with lots of interesting suggestions and ideas after you have exhausted the shopping in Freeport (difficult, when LLBean is just a short walk away). Great atmosphere - very comfortable and welcoming more

Harraseeket Inn

17 Aug 2008

We arrived at Harraseeket Inn just in time for afternoon tea which was absolutely wonderful and plentiful, taken in a large drawing room with the piano playing. The staff were friendly and very helpful, they rang to ask if I'd left my glass case at the computer which I felt was very attentive. Fantastic buffet breakfast included in the room... more

Super 8 Motel Freeport/L.L. Bean Area

17 Aug 2008

How do I even begin? We planned a totally last minute trip to Freeport and didn't have a lot of choices for a place to stay. We figured why not stay at a Super 8, considering it is part of the Wyndam family of hotels/motels, and have stayed at several before. The price was pretty steep for the quality hotel,... more

This was my second stay at the White Cedar in and I will be returning. Monica and Rock are friendly hosts with a wealth of information on the area - where to eat, hike, swim and shop. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfasts are the perfect way to start the day. The touch of cinnamon in the... more

Two of my friends and I stayed here for one night and we loved it. The home itself is quite lovely, beautifully maintained, very warm and inviting. We had a suite on the 3rd floor which was 2 rooms separated by one bathroom. Each room had it's own little sitting area. The rooms were beautifully appointed, mattresses quite comfortable and... more

I've just returned from my 7th annual visit to the Brewster House. It is my favorite getaway place. Over the years, I have stayed there alone; with my daughters; my fiancé. This year I invited my sisters and my best friends to join me - there were nine of us! The Brewster House was the perfect setting. We had the... more

We arrived in Freeport, Maine on a Saturday afternoon in August (the busy season) without a reservation. I would not recommend this. We went to the visitor center and got brochures and started calling places. A usually inexpensive chain hotel, had a room at $299., which I wasn't willing to pay. We called lots of places and feel blessed to... more

My wife and I have visited Freeport, Maine many times, but this is the first time we've stayed in town. Ruth and Scott Thomas were excellent hosts, making sure we were settled in and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. Compared to the cost at a generic hotel in the area, this B&B is a great value. We would stay again. more

We only stayed one night at the hotel. It was nice and clean. The service wasn't great but it wasn't awful. I would say it was average. The hotel is a little ways from the shopping in Freeport so if you are looking to walk through the town you will need to drive but the hotel was a great deal... more

You need to check this place out before leaving Freeport. Located down a side street and nothing special to look at from the outside but please go in and try their Lobster Rolls. For approx. $20 you get two beverages and two Lobster Rolls... these rolls are delicious as you can request the mayo on the side so as not... more

My family ate at Antonia's last night. Our waitress was nice and friendly, but nevertheless the service was terrible. It took 50 minutes from when we sat down until our meals were served. We had been seated by a hostess and then apparently forgotten; and then after we ordered, it took forever for the food to arrive, a period during... more

I reserved a room two weeks in advance and there was only one other room booked that night. I traveled from Colorado to Freeport and was looking forward to a nice night sleep.
