The Clark Point Inn is a nice "base camp" from which to explore Mt. Desert Island. Southwest Harbor is picturesque, with a small-townish main street. We stayed at three B & B's on our trip to Maine and Concord, MA and this was our favorite overall. Unique rooms with awesome balconies for viewing the harbor and sunrises.
