Doe's Eat Place

I visited my son who lived in Greenville and of course he took me to eat At Doe's. I enjoyed the unusual atmoshpere and it is just as the other reviewers have described, run down, in a scary part of town and you walk through the kitchen to get to the tables. The steak was good but not the best... more

My family and I recently stayed here and overall everything was fine. I did wipe everything down with Lysol, just because things felt "dirty". We stayed in the front on 1st fl. Toward the back of hotel is a basketball court. Do Not get a room by it. We could hear the people playing from our room all the way... more

I liked this property. I would imagine it's one of the best in town. If I remember correctly it was around $110 (including tax). From check in to check out I enjoyed my stay here. The public areas are quite nice and tastefully decorated. The rooms are of a good size and very clean. They have all the amenities that... more

This is an absolutely disgusting property and I can not recommend it at all for any type of traveller. At $48.55 (including tax) this place is about $48.30 overpriced. The laundry list of things wrong with this property is immense. They don't run the A/C in the public areas which makes for a hot interior. To be fair the breakfast... more

We attended a wedding in Greenville and were encouraged to sta y at the Greenville inn and /Suites. Rooms were spacious; beds were comfortable; bathroom was adequate. Be aware: cypress tree roots in water table make all water appear dirty. The breakfast was hearty-sausage and biscuits, egg patties, fruit, yogurt, bagels, etc. In the evening they had fresh chocolate chip... more

Hampton Inn Greenville

I like the fact that this hotel was off the main drag but still in sight of it. It was quiet as a result. Breakfasts were more basic than I needed and I have had better at other Hampton Inns. more

Very so-so. If you know Italian food, this is only passable. The owner kept pestering us. more

The hotel is a newer Holiday Inn Express with standard breakfast. It's one of the cleanest hotels in town. It's a bit out of the way as it's on the outskirts of town. Gets crowded on long holiday weekends with many people in town for reunions. You'll notice brown water in the tap but it is part of Greenville's place... more

Mississippi Delta

The Mississippi Delta is NOT located at the mouth of the Mississippi River. The Delta stretches from Memphis, TN to Vicksburg, MS. The Delta is located about 300 miles north of the mouth of the river which is located at New Orleans, LA. And has an elevation of around 130 feet above sea-level. There are not any mangrove swamps here.... more

This used to be a Hampton Inn and is almost as nice as a Hampton Inn but with a Days Inn price ie:$63.72 (including tax). It still has all the same furnishings as before. The bed was very nice and the furniture was all in good shape. The room was a good size and had all the amenities one might... more

I have lived near Greenville, MS all my life and I have been to Doe's for over 35 years. It keeps getting better. I was there last night and the hot tamales, fried shrimp, broiled shrimp, italian salad, garlic bread and big T Bones medium rare were outstanding. Nothing's changed. It's still Doe's, it's still in the same place, it's... more

It is always interesting to research and review places to stay in small towns and villages in a place that you know nothing about. We traveled the Tamale Road via Hwy 1 to see Mississippi from the ground and meet the people. This nights stop lead us to Greenville at the end of a day and a steak diner that... more

Arriving at the Holiday Inn & Suites was pleasant. The aroma of freshly baked cookies, popcorn and a friendly desk staff was refreshing. The room was clean. The breakfast was good and the hostess was real friendly and helpful. The only downfall to this hotel is the water is brown. There is a notice at the front desk letting guests... more

This is the best steak I've ever had. They' don't even put a bottle of A1 at your table. Your choices for portions are 1.5 lbs, 2lbs and 3lbs. This is a hidden spot in Manhattan, KS and you need to try it! more

This is supposed to be the best Italian restaurant in Greenville. The primary seasoning is salt and salt. The salad was so doused with salt from the dressing & the olives that is was inedible. When it was sent back - they were shocked that we didn't like it. The red sauce was closer to ketchup than anything - Pizza... more

I stayed here on business one night and had an overall pleasent time. The tap water is a bit brown, I noticed this when my shower drain plug kept fallin down on me. Other than "muddy" water and a drain plug that mocked me I had a good stay. The breakfast is typical Holiday Inn express with the cinn. rolls... more

The hotel grounds are nicely kept, and the swimming pool was great, but the water was brown (they assured us it was tested frequently and was safe, and that this is a problem throughout the city). We still didn't drink it. ComfortInn.com advertises free high-speed WIRELESS in the rooms, but wired was all that was available, and the hotel staff... more
