The hotel has been restored to its 1905 glory, with some trendy updates -- much care and taste has gone into the renovation and decorating. Selected hotel because it had a pool and breakfast. The pool was closed, as was the sauna area. Desk clerk was also upset, he had been given little info on why or when it would open. The next morning the closed sign was off the pool door. Dont know if it opened due to complaints or some teed off person... more
I couldn't fault this hotel for its price - it was clean, well-maintained inside and out, and with the freshest HIE breakfast I've had in the States (cooked properly, hot, fresh). Convenient for the Interstate, and with fast food nearby (warning - some closes at 9pm) and 5-10 mins drive into town. Beware police speed traps on local roads nearby! more
