I made reservations at the Northwoods Inn on Main St to be within walking distance of the Olympic Arena. Location is supurb. Park car and walk so parking worked out for us. After booking I read reviews and got worried about what I'd find and was having second thoughts... It's an old Lake Placid Hotel which adds to it's charm.... more

We recently got married in Lake Placid (reside in Washington state). We thought we would indulge by staying at the Whiteface Lodge on the night of our wedding. I must say the facility is fantastic. Wildwood on the Lake

We went to Lake Placid to attend Skate America. Our three day stay was enhanced by staying at Wildwood on the Lake. The motel was close enough to walk to the Olympic Center and village shopping/dining: half mile to village, one mile to skating rink. The staff were friendly and helpful.
