I am a travel agent and went as part of the Dead Sea Convention to promote the Dead Sea and its hotels. The hotel was disgusting. Reception staff were rude, arrogant and basically did not care. Had to ask 3 times to have my room cleaned on one day, the key to my room did not work most of the... more

Stayed at the Spa Club at the Dead Sea with my wife after it was advised by friends that vacationed there during the month of October. The hotel is for over 18 years old and was very peaceful. The hotel has an oriental spa and salt water indoor pool. The room was spacious and pleasant. The best part of the hotel... more

I stayed here for a single night with some friends. We had a suite on the first floor facing the sea. The view from the balcony was great but nothing tops the views from the solarium on the 9th floor. The room was very comfortable, had upscale amenities and nicer linens, etc. The suite has 2 baths and a great... more

Claims to being a five star hotel but I would rate it three and a half at best. We stayed there with our extended family for a weekend: Accommodation: Room is simple and clean. Dining: Food is plentiful but simple - don't go there if you're looking for a gourmet meal. Cold drinks and beer and included in the price... more

Lot Spa Hotel on the Dead Sea

3 Dec 2009

I have stayed in Lot Spa in Late November 2009 and it was a very enjoyable stay. I was there both for health reasons and for hoilday in general. The place is right if you want to get away from it all, to enjoy sunshine and healing Dead Sea waters. Secure comfortable beach, drinking water and WC's on every corner,... more

Hod Hamidbar Resort and Spa Hotel

The Hod is the northernmost seaside spa hotel (closest to Masada) in Ein Bokek. Lobby and rooms are luxurious. We enjoyed the Dead Sea bathing area and open air pool. Indoor pool was closed for renovations, and we aren't much for spas. Big breakfast buffet is included. Dinner is too expensive but there are good eateries in mini malls along... more

Although claiming to be 5 star quality it barely scrapes 4. Rooms: maintenance culd be better. Food: plentiful(buffet-self service!) but of average quality. The Dead Sea beach was hit by bad sewage problems and was ignored except by tourists who did not see the tiny warning notices. Prices are not cheap, though. There are better hotels along the Dead Sea. more

We loved this hotel. We originally tried to book through their website but in the end I wrote an email asking if there was any accommodation available. We were offered a 'MOAV' room and package which although not particularly cheap turned out to be a good deal for us. This package include buffet breakfast, a large room on the executive... more

Le Meridien Dead Sea

This hotel is in no way a 4 star resort. The desk clerk had an attitude when we checked in. Got to our room and there was feces in the toilet, the carpet was badly stained and the sheets were so thin you could see through them. This hotel is in critical need of a renovation. My reservation was for... more

Daniel Dead Sea Hotel

the hotel was one of the nicer ones in the area, with free parking, and right across the street, like a 2 min walk at most was the dead sea beach. the service at reception is kind of bad, but other than that the room was very clean, comfy pillows and bed, with views of the pool and the dead... more

The hotel is across from its own private beach on the Dead Sea, and most rooms have simply breathtaking views of the sea. The rooms themselves are a bit small and just average in decorations and amenities. The spa service was excellent, although the treatment rooms were again not well decorated. As well, the amenities in the spa area were... more

Recently we had spent a weekend at the Daniel. We had better to choose another hotel. The only good thing I can say about Daniel Dead Sea is that the hotel is clean. And that it as a cute "Scottish pub" (that serves good Israeli beer). However, there are too many annoying little things that ruin the experience, for example:... more

There is no bad room in this hotel! Every room is water front with either a balcony or huge sliding windows to open. Our room was standard except for the unusual wide plank hardwood floors. If you're not into soaking in the sea there is plenty of lounging at the pool or spa treatments. The food was by far of... more

The room service is ok, the food is ordinary - not bad, but not excellent. The SPA service is awful. Just one example. We arrived in afternoon (3 PM) tired after a long day and went to the SPA. Asked for a bath robe . The answer was - coming soon. After half an hour - they were received, but... more

Stayed at the "Royal" hotel in Aug 2009 for 5 nights, got a great rate for $200 a nigh and when the taxi drove up Iwas in love, the exterior was the nicest by a long shot. The bell boy took our stuff right away, though there were a bunch of people we only waited 7 minutes on line, the... more

500$ a day for small 3 persons room. with stained carpets, torpid staff, dirty territory, the swimming pool closes at 5pm, because of insufficient illumination (claim of the life guard). there were neither glasses nor minibar in the room. We were only able to get rooms for one night in the Daniel Dead Sea Hotel. From the moment we arrived until we checked out the staff was so very unpleasant and unfriendly, and it started to annoy us and to spoil our vacation time. The staff hardly speaks English, but are fluent in Russian. After having a beautiful time... more
