I ate at the Beantown Taven in Matthews NC on 12/10/2009 for dinner. The kitchen is in view of the dining area. I could see two of the cooks eating french fries in the same area where food was prepared. They would go back to preparing food without washing thier hands. Stayed at this hotel for one night last night. It was very clean (my main priority) and I was happy with it. One suggestion - ask for a room on the back side of the hotel because it's really loud on the highway side. No frills but clean. They do serve breakfast, but we didn't have time to eat there.... more

I was looking for a fun place to eat that wasn't too expensive. I found Roscoe's online (--) and gave it a try based on their 101.5 health department score. I had a medium-well burger as requested and ice cold beer while scanning 3 different games on their big screen tvs. Just what I wanted and I'll be back with... more
