Tropical Storm Hanna

Tropical Storm Hanna landed near the border between North and South Carolina early Saturday morning. The hurricane watch for the Carolinas has been canceled, but tropical storm alerts cover the Atlantic seaboard from the Carolinas to Massachusetts. Hanna is expected to bring heavy rains, wind and rough surf all along the coast.

From beginning to end, the experience was wonderful. The breakfasts and dinners were "5 Star". The staff and owners were friendly and helpful. Incredible views from the front porch to the back of the Inn. It's a must. more

A few days before the Labor Day weekend, my wife and I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to head up to the North Carolina mountains and stay somewhere in the Saluda-Tryon-Hendersonville area. Unaware that the N.C. Apple Festival was going on, we had trouble finding a place with a vacancy. Turns out it was the best luck we could have had,... more

We stayed at The Orchard Inn for our anniversary and it was wonderful! Our room was very comfortable and the view from our window was beautiful. We had dinner at the Inn and the food was fabulous. The entrees and dessert were delicious and the presentation was excellent. The service throughout our stay was great and the owners were wonderful... more

The cabin was cozy and beautifully decorated and was located right next to a 3-acre stocked lake, and best of all, I was able to bring my dog, Smiley, because the cabins are pet friendly. One of the things I loved was that... more

We stayed a week in their lake house cabin. It was rustic and beautiful with a fireplace and hottub. I was also able to get online with their wireless internet and check up on my email for work. The lake is full of fish and you don't even need a fishing license. I highly recommend these cabins. more

The innkeepers / owners Dale & Donna were very congenial and great hosts. The breakfasts were fantastic and rooms well appointed and maintained. The Saluda business district is within easy walking distance, and there are several waterfalls nearby and at Dupont State Park. Asheville is a short (35 minute) drive away as is the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed in... more

The Orchard Inn is a very nice secluded B&B located on the outskirts of Saluda, NC. We stayed in a cottage, but the property has rooms in the main house too. The cottage was really nice and very clean. It had a wonderful deck that overlooked the woods. Very peaceful. The shower had hot water, and the A/C worked pretty... more
