The Swan Inn

if you live in farnborough, you will know there are not many places to eat out. The food is above average for pub grub, but not exceptional. I would certainly return as they have fantastic live music on tues and sat nights. 7/10 more

I stayed here on 4th November. One night's B&B £135.00 For that I got the room and a five pound voucher towards the breakfast. £10 for a continental and £15 for a cooked breakfast. The hotel is brand new and tastefully furnished. Check in was smooth, then up to the room. Very dark corridors, not well sign posted. The room... more

Isn't the internet a great thing. i can now write a review on probably the worst meal I have ever had. To be fair the Pizzas looked ok, but the main dishes were awfull, I had the beef medalions. The potatoes and vegetables were thye worst I have ever tasted dry, tasteless and that horrible bitter taste from being left... more

Arrived here on a Friday afternoon. Got a special deal direct with Holiday inn £49 B&B. Plenty of Parking in the carpark, and a very welcoming smile from 2 receptionists. My room wasn't ready, but was told it would only be 10 minutes (it was in fact 30 minutes, but the lounge next to the reception is very comfortable, so... more

Booked a table for 7.30 and when we(wife & i) got there, table was ready for us. Good selections of beers, largers, wines and soft drinks. Menu is varied, so i opted for two starters. I couldn't make my mind upon the onion bhaji's or Momo's. Momo's is 4 small lamb dumpling, servered with decieveing dip. I thought it looked... more

We arrived just on 3pm, and although early, were made most welcome. The Hotel was very easy to find and the directions given were first rate. It is normally used by business people visiting the nearby Farnborough airport with its multitude of aviation businesses. Although it was half term there were very few 'families' using the hotel, but it was... more

My wife and i stayed at he Aviator for a weekend break. The hotel and room are very nice, drinks in the skybar were on the expensive side. Meals were included as we had booked D,B&B. I would liked to have seen the food portions slightly bigger as i was still peckish after a three course meal. We had took... more

We had Sunday lunch at the Aviator with 6 adults and 3 children ranging from 7 years to 10 months. The food, service and atmosphere were superb. Most adults had the £15 fixed price 2 course meal - which included the best mushroom soup I have ever tasted followed by perfectly cooked roast lamb. I had the poached Chicken and... more

I walked into this pub, after friends suggested meeting there. I was thinking that I wished were were somewhere else. However the food and service was VERY good. It's such a shame that the decor lets them down. Their menu was HUGE, I would suggest that they make it smaller as there was far too much choice. All the portions... more

Park Lodge Guest House

Stayed at Park Lodge overnight and must say the cleanliness was of the highest degree. Comfortable room and hotel has a kitchenette containing a microwave, fridge and washing machine which patrons can use as and when - very convenient! Martin the owner is friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. As a lone female staying overnight I felt very safe and secure.... more

A great run business with great facilities and excellent accommodation with many facilities including free wifi. This Guest house shows all the signs of recent refurbishment, all furniture is brand new and very comfortable. Martin and his crew made me feel very welcome and was on hand to provide lots of information on the local area. I would recommend Patk... more

Given the slightly limited options in and around Farnborough, we decided to give the Aviator restaurant a go. Stunning entrance lobby, leading you through to a very nicely presented restaurant. Staff were very friendly from the start, food was great and there was a great atmosphere (even with the most negative couple you could meet sitting on the table next... more

We had a fabulous time, and it was the perfect way to spend our wedding anniversary - we've decided to make it a tradition! I had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary when I booked the room (Aviator Plus King Large) and there was an ice bucket and bottle of champagne ready when we arrived. The room (and hotel) was... more

Before I say anything, this hotel had only been open for five weeks when I stayed. I stayed at the Aviator for four days attending a Company meeting. Firstly the meeting rooms. The rooms themselves are a very good size with effective A/C. The service is a little haphazard and there was a strange sound kind of like a fire... more

Having seen the review in the Sunday Times of this hotel I was quite excited to find myself in Farnborough for a business meeting. The hotel is brand new and is a real architectural masterpiece. Apparently from the air it looks like a giant silver propeller. Stepping though the front door a greeter meets you and helps you up the... more

The opening of this Hotel has been well publicised so I decided to go and take a look. My colleague and I had lunch in the Brasserie and whilst the food was reasonable the starter was far too big a portion and the main course did not match the description on the menu - for example the menu stated confit... more

II dropped in here on a Wednesday night. I was quite early but there were already plenty of customers, and by the time I left at 9 it was three quarters full -obviously a popular place. A smiling waiter is always a good sign and the staff here are certainly very welcoming and attentive - in fact the service was... more

my partner and i was looking forward to a lovely meal in a newly furbished resturant, as we had seen in the local papers, we was very disapointed with the meal as it wasnt that cheap, after eating our main course there was no staff to offer any deserts, or more drinks, we sat for half hour waiting, so we... more

My experience of the Falcon Hotel was overall a rather disappointing one, to say the least. Having parked in the hotel car park in order to enquire about the hotel facilities I returned to find that my car had been clamped by a couple of threatening looking ex-bouncer types who seemed to take much pleasure in this. However, on the... more
