Lovely grounds, impressive approach up the driveway, grand entrance and reception area, thought I was somewhere really special until I got to the corridor to the room and then the room itself. Not that there was anything bad about them (apart from the shabby carpet in the corridor) but room very small and overlooked a delivery door and some bins.... more

We didn't stay at the hotel but ate in the pub while passing through. The menu had lots of choice and after selecting some sandwiches, which were about the £5-£6 mark, they came out and we were more than disappointed. The bread was smaller than Hovis slices, and although they came with chips, the Lamb salts them for you before... more
