HOTEL Reception were friendly, and we were welcomed with a roaring fire. Lovely in winter! The room allocated was at the front of the hotel and offered little soundproofing from the main street outside. The matress was uncomfortable as it had a massive dip. From the moment we stepped through the door of this exceptional home we were wonderfully looked after by Tom and Audrey. My girlfriend and I went here for dinner on a Friday night during a one night visit to Alnwick. The building and seating area were all fine our problem was the food. I would have thought it was not very good if I'd got it in a crumby pub but for the money it was awful. The wine was nice... more
