Very tired old town pub. Room was nearly as bad as it gets - cold , dirty and cramped. Food very average . Needs MAJOR refurbishment . Staff friendly but obviously overwhelmed by the disastrous state of the building. more

The Red Lion

My wife and I stayed overnight at the The Red Lion with friends in September. Staff were very welcoming when we arrived and showed us to our room on the first floor. Our room, Room 5 I think, had two single breads close to each other with a third bed in an anteroom immediately before you enter the main bedroom.... more

The website is quite deciving. This place is a pub with rooms, not a hotel with a bar. When we arrived Friday night, the bar was busy, which is fine but we had to hunt someone down to check us in.
