“The Penguins were worth the bother”

Visited Phillip Island early in December. We booked the Silverwater Resort through their online booking service - a 3 bedroom apartment for 2 nights. This was where our problem began....the resort debited our credit card with 2 deposits - we weren't worried at this stage as we assumed they would correct this when they took the balance - but unfortunately... more

We loved this place. It is quiet and feels just like home with its seperated rooms. The room was decorated nicely and had wonderful hardwood floors. The staff was very nice as well. This complex is rather tired in general, I am not sure about value for money, pool ok except for the flies. Very good bush walks (free) with wallabies and koalas in the wild. Visit the Nobbies Centre (free), late in the day some penguin young may be out waiting for the adults. The Koala Conservation centre is worth a visit... more
