Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast & Carriage House

1 Dec 2008

We had a wonderful time at the Inn. Both Glenn and Ashley were gracious hosts and made us and our black lab most comfortable. The Inn is very pet friendly and accommodating. We cannot recommend it too highly. Whether it be a romantic get away or just the need for a pet friendly environment you cannot go wrong. Dan and... more

We were welcomed warmly and treated like family. Exceptional hospitality with abundant snacks and beverages 24/7. Delicious Gourmet breakfast was the best we've had at a B&B. Our dog was warmly welcomed, was not required to be crated and enjoyed the large fenced area to run around. We will definitely return to Hamanassett! more

Ashley and Glen are wonderful host. I decided to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday with a weekend getaway to a bed and breakfast. Hamanassett offered us a pleasant experience in the Brandywine area which we plan to repeat. The home is beautiful, full of charm and the breakfast is worth coming downstairs in the morning. more

I wanted to take my fiancé on a little getaway for her birthday and our 5 year anniversary. I did some searching and stumbled upon the Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast. The pictures of the inn and the grounds looked amazing so I decided to book my weekend getaway there. I had a few special requests and Ashley and her husband... more

A family gathering brought my 82-year-old Mom and me to southeastern Pennsylvania’s Brandywine region. We decided to add a few days to make it a vacation. In our web search for an alternative to the usual cookie-cutter chain hotels we tripped across the lovely Hamanassett Bed and Breakfast and Carriage House. What a happy accident! And the room charges were... more

We first stayed at Hamanassett in 2006 and have returned three times since then because of its charm, the comfort and furnishings of its rooms, and Ashley's delicious breakfasts! Glenn and Ashley are the perfect innkeepers, warm and helpful in every way. In addition to making the most of the great breakfasts and the chocolate chip cookie jar in the... more

We stayed at the Hamanassett for 4 nights in Sept and loved every minute of our holiday. We found Ashley and Glenn to be very gracious and helpful, steering us towards local sites of interest and great restaurants. After each recommendation, Glenn would ask for feedback as he wanted to make sure that his guests were treated well and enjoyed... more

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at the Hamanassett Bed & Breakfast and Carriage House. Once you pull into the circular drive, your hectic life is left behind and the stay only gets better once you meet Ashley and Glenn and of course Gumbo and Brandy. The Hamanassett is decorated with exquisite taste and each time you enter... more

Everything was superb. The room was spacious and decorated with beautiful antique furniture. The inn owners Ashley and Glen go out of their way with details...from offering snacks... to a delicious breakfast ( we skipped lunch that day) served up like you are King and Queen for the day. There are many common rooms to relax in, a billiards table... more

We were told the B&B was dog friendly, take it from us, if you have dogs go elsewhere, the innkeepers have their own dogs but are not friendly to outside dogs. If you thought your mom had lots of rules in your house growing up, you haven't seen anything.... my wife and I don't pay good money to go away... more

This was our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast. My husband surprised me with a 2 night stay at Hamanassett and it was the best. From the time we arrived owners Glenn and Ashley made us feel welcome. As long time visitors to the Brandywine area it was great to find this gem of a B&B. We've tried many of the best rated Inns, B&Bs, and small hotels but Ashley & Glenn Mon of the Hamanassett B&B truly know how to make you feel at home. They were meticulous in being sure you could find your way to... more

Birthday disaster !! I had booked the Hamanassett upon reviewing its website and reading the terrific reviews for my daughters 26th birthday. Upon checking in, the owners dogs persisted in knocking into us as we checked in an following us around the house. The house smelled of dogs and did not look anything like the website pictures. We snuggled under an Tudor style tester bed and slept like royalty. The breakfast was amazing.
