Effie Filippou's Twisted Pizza

5 of 5 stars
Richmond, Rhode Island

With not a lot of restaurants in the area, we were pleased when Twisted Pizza opened in Oak Harbor Village just off Rte 2 in Exeter. Looking for a quick lunch one day, we stopped in and were greeted by Effie Filippou. A charming young lady, her family has been in the pizza business for over 40 years. She brought... more

Middle of Nowhere Diner

Late morning road trip off I-95. The Tom Tom found it...and the name made it hard to resist. Perfect choice: breakfast or lunch so we had both. Surprising variety of specials. Amazing quality. Pies to die for. more

This was a discovery along the highway coming out of the Arcadia Management Area. I needed a good filling meal after hiking all afternoon and I got it at this ordinary looking diner. The place was packed on a weeknight with the only open seat being at the far end of the counter. It took an extra moment to be... more

They serve breakfast all day except on Fridays. And it's good! Prices are very reasonable, too; under $6 for my breakfast including coffee, plus tax and tip.... more

Having said that, their attention to detail when it comes to their food, is above reproach. The presentation, the quality, and even the quantity is superb. I wish the menu was a bit more... more

I had my worst restaurant experience I ever had in my 30 ‘adult’ years of going out. After making reservations for my family at this $20 per plate restaurant, I waited an hour and a half for the food. When I went to ask the manager, “what she could do for us”, she flipped. She started saying things like, I... more

The Celestial Café in Exeter, Rhode Island is an oasis of good taste in an otherwise blah culinary region of the state. Tucked away in a small shopping plaza on Route 2, the Celestial Café doesn’t have a ton of curb appeal, but just wait until you go through the doors. A modern, minimalist décor greets you warmly and you... more
