Holiday Inn Little River/North Myrtle Beach

2 of 5 stars
Charlotte, NC
6 Aug 2008

You have to take the car...hotel is approximately 10-12 minutes from the beach (depending on traffic). Nice local area...quite a few "local" mom and pop restaurants in the area but again you have to drive...nothing in walking distance. Rooms were clean but being a pet friendly place...you did have the random smells in the hallways, stairwells and elevator. Speaking of... more

Crab Catchers

We had lunch here one day on our trip to Myrtle Beach. This is a "dive" type of place with a view, local color, and very good seafood and service, located right on the Little River waterfront. Our party had gumbo, crab legs, raw oysters. grilled shrimp, and clam strips. The clam strips were the only disappointment. This place is... more

Sleep Inn at Harbour View

13 Jul 2008

We stayed at this hotel for a quick 2 day getaway. It was as advertised, off the Myrtle Beach beaten path, but not to far. I came back from a late dinner and wanted a coffee, so rather than make it in the room I went to the lobby, where Randy, the night clerk insisited on making a fresh pot... more

All in all this was a Great motel to stay at. The room was clean and had alot of room to move around. We stayed in the King room with the Jaccuzzi tub. It was so relaxing. The only downfall about the motel was the people at the front desk. They were not very helpful at all, you ask them... more

Sleep Inn at Harbour View

The Sleep Inn itself was a nice hotel. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the room was clean and comfortable. The price was a good bargain and we were close to local attractions. What detracted from our stay is that we were on a non-smoking hallway but every time we stepped out into the hallway it reeked of cigarette smoke.... more

La Belle Amie Vineyard

Myrtle Beach, SC
2 Mar 2008

We have been to La Belle Amie a few times during their events and found them to be very enjoyable and relaxing. They are held outdoors from late Feb through Nov or Dec. The bands they bring in are divesified and very entertaining. The food selections are more than adequate in a southern style. Just bring a chair, pay the... more

After an earlier positive dining experience at the Parson's Table Restaurant in Little River, SC, my wife and I made reservations on Valentine's evening. We arrived at 7 PM for a 7:15 PM reservation and we were told "it will be a few minutes before we can seat you" which we understood. We sat down in the same room to... more

We had heard some negatives from locals about this restaurant as well as some rave reviews so we had to see for ourselves. We really enjoyed our meal there. The selection of early bird specials are great value but even if you are eating from the regular menu the prices are reasonable. We liked the fact that our choices all... more

North of Myrtle Beach and in the quieter section of Highway 17, sits the converted church with the appropo name. We have always had great meals here and even the most reasonably priced early-bird specials are worth seeking out. Here is a frieindly establishment known well by locals and always appreciated by the visitors we have eagerly brought there. more

Umberto's At Coquina Harbour

21 Nov 2007

Having enjoyed the Umberto's located at Barefoot Landing in NMB several times during our past trips we decided to try the Little River location. We may have hit it on a bad night but we were extremely disappointed in the food and the service. Neither of us enjoyed our meals and having left the majority of our servings uneaten our... more

Went there with a friend in October and feel in love with the place. Had a great Southern charm to it and the lady on the piano could really sing. Very romantic setting and it made my visit one that I will never forget!!!! My friend made a very good choice that nite. Rocky Mount, NC more

Was told this was a great place. The history of the church made up for just an ok meal. Prices are on the high side. We were in Myrtle Beach for a week and wanted something other than another chain restaurant. But we had better food in the highway places then here. Not worth the drive or the price more

We stayed at Holiday Inn Little River on Saturday July 7 for a one night stay. Our oceanfront stay didn't begin until Sunday so we came down a day early. We too have been to this restaurant before although it has been a few years now. What stood out in my mind was the wonderful ambiance and delicious food (we ate everything!). I have to agree with others who have said the service is slow there because that is the only bad thing I can remember. We plan to visit... more

We found the hotel to be filthy. We booked a room for four but only recieved two towels. When we asked for more, they sent bath mats saying that no one had done the laundery. We went with a group and each of us paid a different price even though all rooms were booked at the same time. Our room... more

We stayed in April of 2006 and had a great week stay at this hotel, however during our Aug. stay last week things changed for the worse. The rooms were very dirty, I walked into our room and had pet hair clumps everywhere, a huge dead roach, and little girls hair ties on the carpets...the carpets had stains, and the... more
