What great small town hotel. The rooms were very clean and cool during this hot time of year. The owners are friendly and willing to help with anything. The rates are the best in the town and that includes a million dollar view! Thanks so much. more

We stayed here on our way to Mount Rushmore. Hotel is very new, and log cabin style. Hotel is right off of I-90. Clean rooms. We arrived late so we did not take advantage of the pool and hot tub but it looked very busy with families. Breakfast in the morning was OK. Waffles, biscuits and gravy and cold hard... more
Average motel next to the interstate. I would stay here again. more
Stayed for one night in July, 2008. Nice, well maintained hotel for price. Located just off the interstate but to the east of Chamberlain. Rooms are average size with microwaves and fridges. Americinn bill themselves as having the quietest rooms because of their construction. It was very quiet the night I stayed but not sure if that was due to... more
On the way to the Badlands, Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore was looking for a motel in Chamberlain. We saw some motels at the last exit before the river (wonderful view!), but were pricey for the looks. A billboard for Lee's pointing toward town. Very charming small town; found Lee's on the old highway almost at the foot of the... more
Have stayed numerous times, property continues to decline, no updating. Many carpet stains, doors stained, elevator marred, obviously no money being spent to keep property up. Beautiful location on the Missouri river/Lake. Too bad property is being left to erode. Good front desk service, terrible food. Do not eat at resort! more
Great place to stay that is inexpensive. The last reviewer didn't have such a great experience. We stay here at least once a year and I can tell you we never have found any bugs in our room. It does get a lot of people enjoying the Missouri River since it's about 2 blocks away. Maybe the bug came in... more
Really good, clean roadside hotel for the price. Breakfast was so so, but rooms were clean and beds were comfy. I have stayed at more expensive hotels in this area that were no better and 25.00 more per night. Staff was great. I will definitely stay here again. more
Stopped in at Cedar Shore Resort for a relaxing weekend during the summer, and left with so much more. I can't say enough about the staff and the service - everyone I encountered did everything in their power to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Had a lovely evening at the Tiki Bar, enjoying live music with the beautiful... more
On Monday, August 20, 2007 we stayed for one night at this horrible place. As a Best Western Gold Crown member, I had booked a reservation about six weeks earlier. We were on a leisurely trip to the Badlands and the Black Hills, and rather than racing through South Dakota, we had decided to stay overnight in Chamberlain. The hotel... more
This was a disgusting hotel. There were swarms of bugs all around the lights near the door that you needed to enter your hotel in, and the result was beetles crawling all over inside your clothes by the time you got into your room. They were in our bed, everywhere. Also the front desk lady was really rude and tacked... more
We stayed one night here on a cross country trip. The Staff was very friendly and gave us good info on where to go for dinner, etc. The room was good size and roomy, bathroom very nice (great shower) The breakfast was very good. Everything was spotless. I would definitely stay there if in the area again. more
Stopped here passing through on the way west. Nice basic hotel, nothing fancy, reasonably priced, There's an indoor pool and spa that looked nice. Hey, it's a Super 8 not the Ritz Carlton.... more
This was an overnight stay on a trip back from Pine Ridge, SD to Becker, MN. We got to the hotel and I really like how it situated right next to an amazing bridge over the Missouri River, which is a breathtaking view itself. I was thinking that this would be just another old hotel, nothing special, however when I... more
An older style, two floor, mostly outdoor (ground floor and balcony) entry motor lodge. Has been renovated and updated. Is well kept. Located in Chamberlain, less than a mile from the bottom of the I-90 freeway ramp, at the foot of the Highway bridge across the Missouri River to Oacoma. Indoor pool is a newer addition and is in a... more
Three times a year our club meets in Chamberlain and stays at the Lakeshore . The view of the river and bridge is nice. In the morning you can have a continental breakfast in the motel's solarium and look out over the Missouri river. The rooms are relatively large (some more than others) and always clean. The beds are queen... more
This is an older hotel but the room we had was very, very clean. The hall could use some work. There was a nice swimming pool and hot tub. Be sure to bring your own shampoo and laundry bags. Breakfast was donuts, bagels and muffins with a choice of juice or coffee. There was high speed internet in the room. more
The resort is a beautiful getaway. It is such a serene drive out to the resort on Shoreline Drive. The people that work there are very friendly and are more than accomodating to your needs. The restaurant serves very good quality food at a reasonable price. You will never feel out of place at the resort. It is the perfect... more
I would not recommend this hotel. While it was nice to have two rooms separated by the bathroom area, the management of this hotel detracts from any possible good reason to stay here. We had been booking hotels for a month long family vacation and made the mistake of booking this hotel for the night earlier (July 2). When we... more
In all my years of travel, I have never ever been to a crappier hotel. For starters, this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Proof in the fact that the hotel actually had to buy signs to keep travelers from feeling lost in the night. I was traveling with a group of 16 people. We had booked three rooms... more
