The location, atomosphere, and history are worth going for alone. The food was average at best and more towards not good. Very affordable, $25 for 5 course dinner, no alcohol, service was okay, should charge more and upgrade quality/level of food. If you just walked in and didn't order the food, you missed out. Lewie's has one of the best cheese burgers I've ever eaten. Great service and Lewie is a great guy to talk to. Bathrooms were new and very clean. Can't say enough good things about Lewie's more

First of all, we stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights, Sept. 29,30 and Oct. 1. Coming from Rapid City where we rented our car, we traveled to Spearfish and then traveled the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway.
