Stayed 2 nights and whilst the bedrooms arent anything to wrtite home about this place well makes up for that in food, wine and great service. I travel wordwide and my expectations of good food combined with great service are sometimes hard to meet. We booked here because of location,easy to day trip into edinburgh and also because of recomendation. The hotel main building dated back to 1650 ish so the stone walls do hamper room size. The room I had at the Kilspindie House was large, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom whilst in need of some modernisation was big with full bath and shower. I wasn't terribly impressed with the restaurant, only ate here once - maybe I got the chef on a bad day but the evening meal was not good, breakfasts were delicious... more
