Beautiful setting and the only hotel in the Achiltibuie area. The 'cheap' rooms, where we stayed are located in an anexe so you have to walk outside to get to the rest of the hotel which is a bit of a problem given that most of the time in the north west of scotland its is raining! We were looking forward to a peaceful few days. The weather was stormy. Not the hotel fault, however the room we were given was across a courtyard which meant walking in wind and rain for meals. We are a gay couple and found the welcome here very friendly. The hiosts were very welcoming and provided much usefull iinformation about the local area (including all the local gossip!). This was our second stay and it was just as good as the first. The views are spectacular and the breakfast excellent. more
