YS Falls

Why people go to Jamaica and stay in their hotels is beyond me . It realy is the most fantastic place . You can go with the crowds and see Dunns River Falls or you can make the effort and go to the pristine YS . By going to the YS Falls you will also get a chance to see... more

I stayed here for several nights with my boyfriend. Although the photos do look charming, it is very, very basic and rustic. I was bitten by tons of mosquitoes at night because there are no screens on the windows. Yes, you do have a mosquito net but that doesn't help if you get up in the middle of the night... more

I will first start out by saying that the bus ride to the falls from our hotel was almost 2 hours it was a long ride nice to see what the country of Jamaica looks like but it was a really long ride and we only got to explore and be at the falls for about a hour. The ride... more

We have recently returned from an amazing /relaxing/interseting holiday staying at the newly built Hope House (part of Jakes Hotel) at the unspoilt Southern coast of Jamaica. The villa is stunning, after a long an bumpy drive from montego Bay airport we will never forget the feeling when we were welcomed into the house to be greeted by the most... more

I stayed here for 4 days on a business retreat and loved every minute of it. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, the grounds were well-kept and I had a great stay. The water pressure was a little low, particularly in the mornings but aside from that I had no complaints. We ate at the hotel restaurant as part of... more

From the street view you can not see the ambiance of this lil best kept secret in Jamaica. I am a avid hotel hopper and I was overwhelmingly pleased when I stepped onto the property. Each newly decorated room has a hammock outside your door for simply relaxing while the beach front restaurant supplies all the view of Jamaica you... more

Our stay at jakes was beautiful, staff friendly, accomadation pleasant and relaxing. The only downsides were the lack of things to do, perhaps they could have a live band? and the fact that I saw the pool attendant refolding used towels and putting them back into the clean basket. In addition the T.V didnt work in either of the rooms... more

Once again I celebrated my birthday at Marblue, only this time it was my big ' 60th ' and we had the entire hotel to ourselves for 5 days. Now, I have some very discerning and demanding friends who were coming to Marblue for the first time, so I was a little apprehensive at first. My fears were soon put... more

Jakes was summed up to us by the customs agent when we arrived in Jamaica. He said, "how did you guys find out about Jakes?" I told him I found it Tablethotels.com and it has always pointed me in the right direction when it came to hotels. He looked at both my boyfriend and I said, "I hope you know... more

I'm an American from Boston. Came to Jake's for 5 nights for my honeymoon and it was just amazing. I would definitely recommend and I'll probably go back but here are a few things to keep in mind: 1. From Kingston - the hotel will have a driver sent to pick you up for $220 U.S. each way (they don't... more

Jakes.....a real quiet place located in a small village with nice friendly people. I went there with my wife on our honeymmon. The accomadation was sbot on, clean & simple, but with it's location on the shores of the sea it gave it a real good and special vibe. Jakes staff were amazing, down to earth people whom looked after... more

I have relied on Trip Advisor's traveller reviews quite a bit in the past (to gauge the quality of various types of accommodations when planning trips) but never thought that I would write a review myself. I am a Jamaican who stayed at Jakes in June 2008, and I am brimming with pride over the quality of this off-the-beaten path... more

I can’t say enough amazing things about our experience at Jake’s. The hotel is quirky and charming and unlike any place you will ever visit. The staff – everyone in Treasure Beach, for that matter – is incredibly warm and welcoming. We were instantly made to feel like family and a part of the authentic culture of the community. As... more

My husband and I just returned from Jakes about two weeks ago and I just wanted to say how amazing our experience was. This was our second time at Jake's- we were there five years ago for our honeymoon and could not think of a more fitting place to spend our five year anniversary. They have an amazing staff and... more

We stayed in a Veranda Suite at Marblue for 2 nights in late April and would recommend this hotel to those who like boutique style properties and a peaceful relaxed atmosphere. Our room was on the top floor with a lovely view overlooking the pool and sea. The room had a bedroom with a very comfortable king sized bed and... more
