Interesting to transfer the equivalent of Texas BBQ from S American to the Hill Country. We visited on a Saturday night, the restaurant was never more than a third full. a great day trip or more if you wish. If you are sure of foot, take the trail up the Rock and down (but you better be part mountain goat and hope the rock is not slippery). Be ready for the crowds too, this is a popular trek. Or, take the loop or off-the-beaten path trails...a bit less taxing but... more

the place was very busy for breakfast and it was clear it has been in business a long long time. Everything is worn...and just a little grimy. The food was mediocre...McDonald's would have been a better choice. And, do not waste your $$ on the coffee..it was just horrid. more
