What a great find! Thank you, TripAdvisor! My husband and I ended up in Rutland for a night and made a beeline for this place because of the reviews, and, boy, are we ever glad we did. The menu is vast (almost too vast!)and eclectic (there are American, continental, Thai, and Mexican choices). I started with the Red Red Shrimp,... more
This is the worste motel I have seen in my life, the windows were rotten, the curtains hanged by one hanger, the dishes had mildew in them, the mattress was dirty and very uncomfortable, thete was mildew in the shower and the faucets didnt close properly. DO NOT RESERVE THIS MOTEL. I has reserved for 2 nights the manager gave me my... more
I have stayed at Ramadas before. Quite honestly I have not been to impressed with them in general lately. We come up from NJ about 4 times a year. We came up on a holiday weekend without making reservations so we took whatever we could find in the area. I was not expecting much, but we dont ask for much... more
Little Harry's is a groovy kinda spot for dinner. Very friendly people who can't do enough for you. The ambiance is cozy and warm and the menu choices are slightly different but very nicely prepared. Wide variety of entrees - chicken, beef, seafood and pasta for under $20. Nice bread basket and salad. Clean and a very mixed crowd. Doesn't... more
We stayed for two nights & were very pleased with the quiet location of our room & the lovely grounds surrounding the Inn. Complimentary breakfast was pretty much standard fare & what you expect . The staff was friendly & welcoming. The room, although not luxurious, met our needs. Keep in mind that if stairs present a problem, you will... more
When visiting Rutland, VT, stay at the Comfort Inn at Trolley Square....it's the best! Clean and tidy, great pool, pleasant accommodations to just relax. For a reasonable price, you won't believe how nice these folks are. Besides that, you get a breakfast included. It's a deal too good to be missed. more
We are return visitors to this delightful B&B. We love it for the warm welcome we always receive from Leslie and Steve, the incredible comfort of their bedrooms and lovely home, the delicious breakfasts, and the numerous services they lovingly provide including recommendations for dinners as well as making reservations in advance of our arrival. Steve makes a point of... more
On a recent stay to this hotel, my mother and I were treated to one of the worst hotel experiences of our life. Upon check in, we were told that while we had the printout confirmation for our stay indicating two queen beds, non-smoking, we would be in a double, smoking. I told the woman at the front desk that... more
who knew a little downtown joint on the main street of Rutland could be so great??!! Terrific bartender (Jack) wonderful, ambitious menu and fine quality ingredients. Priced well for portion size and quality of ingredients. Certainly worth a visit... more
I wouldn't really mind the hallways with wrinkled carpets and dark stains, or the bathtub that floods after one shower, or the soiled hand towel hanging by the shower curtain when I had first entered the room. I wouldn't even mind the chair that looked like it was used by someone who needed bigger maxi pads, or maxi pads with... more
This hotel is one of the best things that every happened to my family! A few years ago we adopted a little boy who was in foster care in Rutland (we live in NYC). We had to travel back and forth to Rutland numerous times. Each time we stayed at the Holiday Inn. A few times he was allowed to... more
Food was very good. I would definately go again to try something else on the menu. Top notch choice for breakfast in Rutland. more
Last time I went, my usually dish nearly made me sick. I still prefer China City in Fair Haven, but as Chinese goes in Vermont not a bad place. more
I booked a room a year in advance for a fall foliage tour. I would never stay there again. It was overpriced and a dump. It looks better from the outside than from the inside. I wouldn't say it was dirty but it thoroughly needed a lot of remodeling. The ceiling in the bathroom was falling apart. The managers were... more
This is the third and last time I will eat here. I kept trying this place thinking that it would be better next time because it is convenient to my home. I ordered the beef with snow peas which was tasteless. The snow peas tasted like they had just been removed from a plastic bag and had not been washed.... more
We were visiting the area to watch some college soccer games. My son was staying at another hotel but that one was full so we tried the Hampton. We had reserved a king bed and upon check in we were told that we had a king room that was a handicap room. Not sure why we got a handicap room... more
We were looking for a quiet getaway, and we found a fabulous hotel. I booked the week that we were planning to leave and was able to get a great rate. The front desk clerk was polite and very helpful as we had never been to that area of Vermont before. The hotel is set off the main road but... more
Looks like no one liked this place based on the reviews. My experience was actually rather nice for what we paid for. We are four students who worked at Killington. We are from South Africa. We were looking for a place where we could stay for as cheap and convenient as possible. As we were dependant on the Rutland bus... more
