I traveled to Bedford Va in the fall. It was beautiful with the trees in their vivid foliage. Peaks of Otter Lodge and Restaurant

We ate here because it was in the lodge where we were staying. Nice view of lake. Very basic decor but good old southern comfort food and pleasant service. Fried chicken, ribs, and fried trout were very good. For breakfast the next day, biscuits with butter and honey were heavenly! more

We visited early November on a Monday/Tuesday. Beautiful location. Right on Blue Ridge Parkway in VA. Most of Visitor Centers and Camping closed after November 1. Nice main lodge area with bar, tables with games near fire place, restaurant with beautiful view of lake and gift shop. Our room was basic but large and comfortable. All rooms look over the... more
