This is in a beautiful location at 2500 ft. elevation in the mountains with a view of Sharp Top Mountain. There is a lake on the property but it was unexpectedly totally drained when we stayed. Had stayed here previously when visiting this area and the place is sort of run down and the rooms smell funny, but it was cheap and the breakfast was decent. We have eaten at the Millstone Tea Room at least half a dozen times and never have been disappointed. The staff are friendly and the food is outstanding and accessible. Menu changes frequently and includes many fresh local items. Brunch on weekends is also outstanding. more

The Memorial is easily located on RT460 behind the Bedford Visitors Center and beautifully situated on a hill. I visited 2/08 on a very cold day.
