I don't need amenities, just a place to sleep. The only complaint is the highway noise as the rooms face the road. This is the best place to go in Des Moines for good eats and cheap strong drinks. Food is great, especially the buger dip. But you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. As no-frills hotels go, this is as good as it gets. About 15 min south of Seattle Airport, the hotel is simple, spotless and has a freindly and helpful staff. No extras: no coffee maker, no minibar, no hair dryer. But there is a good thai resataurant next door, and at under $50, the price was right. more

The clam chowder is good, but living in the PNW there are many better places to get it ( One within walking distance of Wally's).
