In a nutshell, Skamania Lodge is NOT the glorious spa resort getaway it used to be in the 90's. My husband, a retired corporate executive, said it has become like every other corporate hotel he has stayed in over the years. Nothing special. This is a very sad decline for those of us who frequented Skamania Lodge in the 1990's.... more

Just spent a quick night here when passing through th Columbia River Gorge area. It was a good choice with comfortable rooms and a great front lawn area overlooking the river area. The breakfast was also very good. Unique lodge wood decor. more

We had dinner here one nite while touring the Gorge. Food was superb! Our waitress was very personable and attentive to her customers. There is a varied selection of entrees to select from; we enjoyed Chicken Picatta and Ribeye Steak. Salads were definitely fresh lettuce, and everything was seasoned to perfection. Wish we would have had more days to enjoy... more
