While we loved the view, we found the food small in portion and a little too heavily seasoned. It was almost as if they thought that the entrees wouldn't taste good without lots of covering sauces/seasonings. We tend to like simple fresh fish, steaks with delicate tastes. Just returned from a four night stay at the Birchwood Lodge. I took my mom there for her birthday. This place was great!! Very clean and nice rooms. Rates were reasonable for what we got.
