I thought this was a clean and affordable option in a great area. The hotel is close to Union Street, Chestnut Street, the waterfront, the Presidio and Van Ness Avenue. I am not a big fan for staying in downtown SFO but for those who are this is a fine choice (especially for a $79 Hotwire special). It is adjacent to the Embarcadero stop and right and across the street from the waterfront so many may find it appealing. Not a lot going on during weekends in that area however.... more

I booked this establishment for 3 nights in October 2009 using Worldpoints through their website. Wrote ahead to confirm. Upon arrival was shown what was obviously the night clerk's room. It was immediately adjacent to the lobby desk, and fronted the busy street. They had put up a paper sign "Quiet Please! People are staying in this room tonight". The... more
